I had the pleasure to talk with Sheliah from TLC Assistant Living Services last October 2016, after seeing her ad in the SeniorFan Magazine in Sonora, Ca. I have an elderly father living in Sonora who has Parkinson's and is also in kidney dialysis. I had been driving from the bay area to Sonora every one to two weeks to help take care of him and take care of his food needs. I was so happy from the very first contact I had with Sheliah. She is professional and so easy to communicate with. Either by phone, text or email. She gets right back to you the same day, and also had pictures sent to me of meals that had prepared for her clients. We met with Sheliah and were so pleased we asked her to start the very next week. The care provided for my dad has been fantastic, which is not an easy task. Scheduled days have never missed a for any reason. I would recommend TLC Assistant Living Services Corp. with no hesitation and only wish I lived in Sonora as I would also be a client. I see the true care and talent and the love that has come through.
Sincerely, Sandra Outman

Lori Chappell recommends TLC Assistant Living Services. TLC was Absolutely Amazing in the care of my dad & giving me respite care. Personal, friendly, quiet, courteous, and empathetic to my family's situation. Losing my dad after a 18 month battle between cancer & COPD was heartbreaking to say the least... having TLC there with my siblings & I in his final days caring for him so we could just be present for him & each other was nothing short of a complete blessing. The owner is hands on and personally involved from the very 1st introduction through the final moments with our loved one. The day after she was so kind to show up with a beautiful bouquet of roses and to make sure I didn't need anything and offered their services if anything came up that they could help me with. Thank you ladies for taking such excellent care of our dad, the incredible way you worked with Hospice, & following up with me with that gorgeous bouquet. (Which I have dried so I may keep them forever.
With great appreciation,
Lauri Chappell & Siblings

TLC has made the difference for us being able to survive comfortably in our home after one having a stroke and one having hip surgery complications causing inability to walk unaided. It's comforting to know that there is always a staff member available to come as scheduled. The helpers are kind, friendly and very capable. They are always willing to do what's needed: laundry, meal prep, tidying up, making beds, helping to change fluorescent lights, help with meds...
Joseph Padilla Obituary (1947 - 2021) - Sonora Union Democrat
Joseph "Joe" Padilla, of Sonora, died Jan. 28 after a hard-fought battle against cancer. Joe was born in Merced in 1947 to Manuel and Betty Padilla. Joe spent his youth exploring the outdoors and ultimately earned the rank of Eagle Scout. In 1967, Joe was drafted into the Army. Upon discharge, he enrolled in college and graduated from California State University, Sacramento, in 1973 with a degree in environmental resources. Joe was a proud Vietnam veteran. He was wounded during hostile force and received several commendations for his dedication and bravery including the Purple Heart and two Bronze Stars. The discipline and patriotism he learned in the Army never left him, as friends and family will attest. Joe began his 30-year career with the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection in 1965 as a seasonal firefighter. He served 22 years as a fire captain at Baseline Camp in Sonora. Joe will be remembered by the firefighting community for his humor, strong work ethic, and commitment to training and supporting his inmate crews. Joe is survived by his brothers, Michael (Christine) Padilla and Peter (Debbie) Padilla; his daughters, Misty (Aaron) Feusahrens and Amber (Jason) Sestito; and his six grandchildren, Hannah, Emily and Jackson Feusahrens, Kaylie, Paige and Natalie Sestito. Joe will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. A private service will be held at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Diana J. White Cancer Institute as well as the Adventist Health Hospice of Sonora and TLC Assisted Living Services for their support in his final days. Sheliah and her staff at TLC were wonderful. Reliable. Compassionate. Qualified. I couldn’t have chosen better care for my mom better. Their skill and knowledge was comforting, made it easy to trust them. Kira rose above and beyond. With her on shift, I was actually able to sleep. They were able to help at a moment’s notice. And I’m grateful to have used their services. I’m keeping their number for future reference.
